Animal welfare is very important to REWE West. That is why they have also launched the “Strohwohl” project. This stands for species-appropriate animal husbandry, quality and regionality and combines this with a close, fair and forward-looking cooperation with the farms and the processor.

To give their customers even more transparency, they can see how the pigs are kept at the Albersmeier farm, the cattle at the Hagdorn farm and the chickens at Lehnertz Eiffel Ei.
