myfarm.tv helps farmers and retailers make their animal husbandry visible to consumers. Via livestream, shoppers can see directly in the store how the animals live on the farms that supply it – live and unedited.
To make this possible, myfarm.tv provides the platform: a camera in the barn transmits the live image to the screens in the retailer’s store.
This allows consumers to see for themselves instead of having to rely on promises alone. This openness lays the foundation for trust between farmers, retailers and customers.

1. Selection of cooperation partners
Choose your partners from the myfarm.tv network:
a) For farmers: find the retailers you supply that already use myfarm.tv or would like to show a livestream in their store.
b) For retailers: find suppliers who have already installed a camera in the barn or are willing to do so.
2. Providing the necessary infrastructure
Live transmission requires a stable internet connection. We will work with you to check which connection is possible at your location.
3. Installation of hardware and software
a) Installation of the cameras in the barns
b) Installation of the screens in the store
4. Booking the appropriate myfarm.tv channels
You decide which animals and how many channels you want to show, and you can adjust your playlist at any time.
5. Maintenance and service
With the myfarm.tv service package, your technology stays up to date and we take care of any faults during operation.

What matters in animal welfare: the “Five Freedoms”
What constitutes good animal husbandry is often measured internationally against the so-called “Five Freedoms”. They were formulated in 1979 by the British Farm Animal Welfare Council and still serve as a point of reference in the animal welfare debate today:
- Freedom from hunger, thirst and malnutrition
- Freedom from discomfort
- Freedom from pain, injury and disease
- Freedom from fear and distress
- Freedom to express normal behaviour
Programmes such as the German Initiative Tierwohl translate such goals into specific, verifiable criteria – which differ by species; for pigs, for example, a distinction is made between fattening pigs, sows and piglets. Compliance is checked through on-site inspections.
And what does myfarm.tv show?
myfarm.tv does not assess or certify animal husbandry – we make it visible. The live images show how much space the animals have, how the barn is equipped, whether there is daylight, bedding or enrichment material, and how the animals behave. The type of husbandry that applies to each farm can be found on the farm’s page.
This way, you can see for yourself – as a complement to the label on the packaging.
